56% Phospholipids
100% Alaskan Pollack Fish Oil
Frequently asked question:
Why does 56% phospholipids actually matter?
It's the form your omega-3s come in, not just the amount. Phospholipids share the same water-loving/fat-loving structure as your own cell membranes, so your body recognizes and uses them directly — a landmark study found a high-phospholipid dose significantly increased omega-3 incorporation into cell membranes, while a lower-phospholipid dose at the same total omega-3 content didn't. Most krill oil tops out around 40% phospholipids; ours is concentrated to 56%, the highest in the category.
What's really in each softgel — and what isn't?
Every 1,000mg softgel delivers 270mg of omega-3 EPA/DHA (150mg EPA, 70mg DHA), 560mg of phospholipids, and 85mcg of astaxanthin — the antioxidant that naturally protects the oil from oxidation, so synthetic preservatives aren't needed. That's the whole formula. No additives, no fillers, nothing else on the label to inflate the numbers.
Why don't I get fishy burps or aftertaste like I did with fish oil?
It's chemistry, not tolerance. Fish oil's omega-3s are bound to triglycerides, which float and separate in your stomach — that's what causes reflux. Ours are bound to phospholipids, which mix directly into stomach contents instead of floating on top. Same nutrients, a completely different experience taking it.
How do I know exactly where my krill oil came from?
Every batch is traceable to the exact GPS coordinates in Antarctic waters where it was caught — you can look up your own bottle's harvest location. It's also MSC-certified and harvested using Eco-Harvesting technology that virtually eliminates bycatch, from a fishery permitted to take under 1% of the krill population each year.

Why Oceanutra Krill Oil Is Your Omega-3 Solution
The Omega-3 Index is the real measure of whether your omega-3s are working — a blood test showing how much EPA and DHA are actually built into your cells. Optimal is 8% or higher. The average American tests at just 4.12%, more than half fall below 4% altogether, and only 1 in 50 ever reach optimal. That gap matters more than you'd think: people with the highest Omega-3 Index have 15-18% lower all-cause mortality than those with the lowest, across a pooled analysis of 42,466 people. In one 8-week study, krill oil raised the Index 125% — its phospholipid-bound EPA/DHA simply absorbs more efficiently than fish oil's. Oceanutra is built to close that gap.
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential — your body can't produce them on its own, so every bit has to come from what you eat or take in. Standard fish oil binds those omega-3s to triglycerides, a form your body has to work harder to absorb, which is also why so many people deal with fishy burps and aftertaste. Oceanutra binds omega-3s to phospholipids instead — the same molecular structure as your own cell membranes — so more of what you take actually gets used: supporting heart-healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels, memory and cognitive function, and joint comfort and flexibility. It's concentrated to 56% phospholipids, 100% Pure Antarctic Krill Oil, with zero additives.
Your body needs both EPA and DHA working together — whole-body wellness depends on getting the full omega-3 picture, not just one piece of it. Every Oceanutra softgel delivers 150mg EPA and 70mg DHA, a ratio of roughly 2-to-1, weighted toward the omega-3s most closely linked to cardiovascular and joint support. Most standard fish oil runs closer to 1.5-to-1 (the common “18/12” concentrate sold industry-wide), so ours leans further toward those same cardiovascular and joint benefits — without giving up on the DHA that still supports memory, cognitive function, and eye health, all delivered from a single daily softgel, tested and verified carefully right here in-house.
In fish oil, omega-3s are bound to triglycerides. In krill oil, they're bound to phospholipids — the same structure that makes up human cell membranes, so they integrate into your cells instead of just passing through. In head-to-head research, krill oil raised plasma EPA and DHA levels 1.4x and 1.5x more than fish oil at a matched dose (Loukil et al., Am J Clin Nutr, 2026). DHA can only cross into your brain when it's bound to a phospholipid, a mechanism fish oil's triglyceride-bound form simply doesn't share. Ours is concentrated to guarantee 56% phospholipids, well above the ~40% typical of standard krill oil — the highest concentration available anywhere today.
NATURE'S PERFECT OMEGA-3'S
The ingredients that make THE MOST CONCENTRATED Antarctic krill oil.
Every ingredient below is chosen for one reason: to get more into your cells, not just your bloodstream. Ours is concentrated to 56% phospholipids — well above standard krill oil — with zero synthetic additives needed to get there.
56% Phospholipids
The same molecular form as cell membranes, supporting efficient omega-3 uptake. Helps support proper brain, heart and joint function.
56% Phospholipids
Phospholipid-bound omega-3s are structurally identical to the fats in human cell membranes, enabling more efficient incorporation into tissues compared to triglyceride-form fish oil. Also helps to support proper liver function.
Choline
A key nutrient for brain and liver health, in its most absorbable natural form. Helps support proper liver, heart and brain function.
Choline
Delivered as phosphatidylcholine, the form your body absorbs best — up to 12 times more effective at raising blood choline levels than the synthetic salts in most other supplements. Also helps to support proper muscle function.
Omega-3's EPA/DHA
EPA and DHA, the marine omega-3s, in their most bioavailable phospholipid form. Helps support proper heart, brain and joint function.
Omega-3's EPA/DHA
EPA and DHA are the marine omega-3s linked to heart, brain, joint, and muscle support — bound here to phospholipids for greater cellular absorption than standard fish oil delivers. Also helps to support proper muscle, eye and skin function.
Astaxanthin
A powerful marine antioxidant naturally found in krill, algae, and wild salmon. Helps support proper joint, skin and heart function.
Astaxanthin
This naturally occurring carotenoid protects krill oil's delicate omega-3s from oxidation, acting as a built-in preservative — no synthetic additives needed, no compromise on freshness. Also helps to support proper muscle, eye, liver and prostate function.
Omega-3's contribute to many important health functions
Not all omega-3s work the same way once they're in your body. Ours are bound to phospholipids — the same molecular structure as your cell membranes — so more of what you take actually gets used, supporting your heart, brain, joints, and more.
Heart Health
Supports healthy cholesterol and heart function.
Joint Health
Supports joint comfort and flexibility.
Brain Health
Choline supports memory and cognitive function.
Healthy Aging
18 clinical trials, six areas of support.

PURE Krill Oil
166 days agoI'm diabetic. My doctor suggested I use Krill oil to help lower my A1C. I searched available products and this was one of a few that was PURE. Others have only partial Krill oil and another type of oil. The caplets come in a dark glass jar to prevent spoiling. I am not left with a fishy taste and don't burp. Unless you stick your nose in the jar, there is no smell. It's too early for my blood test, but I have high hopes based on 2 doctor's recommendations. A good value I think.

Switched to this brand of Krill oil over fish oil
155 days agoI have been taking fish oil for 15+ years and after doing some research decided to switch to Krill oil for the added health benefit. So far no issues and will continue to use this brand as they got great reviews. No smell or issues with the supplements so far. It should be noted I take a fair amount of supplements and will only take high-quality supplements that are organic and with minimal additives. This fits the bill.

I love it
73 days agoAfter spending some serious time learning and researching Omega's and Krill I couldn't be more happier when I finally started using this brand's krill oil. What attracted me to it was not only does it use Superba Boost Krill (top shelf stuff <3), and that this is from Antarctica oceans(cleaner ocean source compared to most), but the health benefits are a health enthusiasts dream just researching the nutritional facts. This stuff gets into your red blood cells asap transferring the health benefits everywhere efficiently. Theres no guessing with Krill of this quality, and some of these benefits surpass fish oil. I could tell right away that my study patterns were greatly benefited after taking this and my stamina during workouts. I feel more confident with my health taking these <3. This will be a staple in my daily vitamin take. Oh, and I normally don't notice, but the quality and feel of the glass bottle this comes in feels really impressive and well thought out, something to consider for anyone curious about this brand. I take this with Urolithin A, multivitamins, and berberine complex.

Very Effective Krill Oil
15 days agoI originally purchased the Oceanutra Krill Oil as it was advertised to not have a fishy smell or taste and also needed to increase my good cholesterol, lower my bad cholesterol and lower my triglycerides. I can attest to the fact that this Krill Oil did exactly what I needed it to - proven by my blood work results. Although the bottle inside does have a mild fishy smell, it's not as bad as other brands I've tried. I did make the mistake of taking this without food and I had fishy burps for the day. TAKE IT WITH FOOD! I am a woman who is extremely sensitive to fish smells to the point of nausea BUT I'm able to successfully take one capsule per day. Most other Krill Oils have a serving size of 2 or more capsules per day- I don't know about you, but less is more in my opinion. After doing a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that Oceanutra Krill Oil has all the right ingredients and desired quantities of each. This brand is also a great value, especially the multi-month options. Thanks Oceanutra!

The biggest difference comes down to how the omega-3s are delivered, not just where they come from. In fish oil, EPA and DHA are bound to triglycerides. In krill oil, most of those same omega-3s are bound to phospholipids instead — the same molecular structure that makes up your own cell membranes. Our SuperbaBoost® krill oil is concentrated to guarantee 56% phospholipids, well above the roughly 40% found in standard krill oil. That higher phospholipid content is what research links to better incorporation of omega-3s into red blood cell membranes — a meaningful, verifiable difference, not just a marketing number.
No — krill oil is not recommended for anyone with a known shellfish or crustacean allergy (shrimp, crab, lobster, and similar). Krill are crustaceans, and cross-reactivity is possible, so this isn't the right supplement if you have that allergy. If you're unsure, check with your doctor before taking any krill-based product.
Not the way you might with a standard fish oil softgel. Because krill's omega-3s are carried in phospholipid form, they mix into your stomach contents rather than floating and refluxing the way triglyceride-based fish oils can — which is the usual cause of fishy burps. Our formulation also has zero additional additives, relying on krill's own naturally occurring astaxanthin (the antioxidant that gives the oil its red color) to stay fresh, so there's nothing synthetic in there to affect taste either.
One softgel a day with a meal is the standard serving, and each bottle is a 60-day supply. Everyone responds a little differently, and consistency matters more than any single dose — some published research on phospholipid-rich krill oil has shown measurable changes within a few weeks of daily use. Give it a steady few weeks as part of your routine before judging results. As always, talk to your doctor before starting any new supplement, especially if you take blood-thinning medication.
Our krill oil is MSC-certified and 100% traceable back to the exact GPS location where it was harvested — every batch can be traced from the Southern Ocean to your bottle. Harvesting is tightly regulated: only a small fraction of the krill population in the certified fishing zone is caught each year, and the fishery uses Eco-Harvesting® technology designed to release non-target species unharmed. Our supplier, Aker BioMarine, has also partnered with WWF-Norway on sustainable krill management since 2008 — third-party validation, not just a self-reported claim.
